  • Australian National University (ANU) Information Literacy Program
    Established by Australian National University (ANU), this campus-wide Information Literacy Program runs training and presentation activities to provide generic information and information technology training for staff and students, support learning outcomes for undergraduate and postgraduate courses, and offers other related activities.
  • California State University Information Competence Initiative
    This project involves the development of web-based instructional tutorials, summer faculty development workshops to reshape curricular offerings, outreach effort to high schools and community colleges through teacher-librarian collaboration, support for a campus online information competence graduation requirement, and the creation of various information competence courses and programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Current activities include assessment of student information competence, integration of information competence principles into the learning outcomes of academic departments, and increased promotional efforts and publications.
  • DEDICATE (Distance EDucation Information Courses with Access Through nEtworks) - Sweden
    The aim of this project is to develop cost-effective distance education courses in information literacy. The courses will be demonstrated and tested at four European academic libraries, with a goal to train library staff in the access and use of information resources in a networked environment.

    As part of the National Higher Education ICT Initiative, ETS and a group of colleges and universities have collaborated to create the ICT Literacy Assessment, a comprehensive test of ICT proficiencies specifically designed for the higher education environment.

    The goal of this project is to create tools, develop research opportunities, and build social and professional networks for discussing, understanding and fostering inquiry-based learning. This project includes two parts. The first is a free website that offers resources to facilitate inquiry-based learning. The second part is the large, diverse and dynamic community that uses and further develops the Inquiry Page.

  • PRIMO: Peer-Reviewed Instructional Materials Online
    PRIMO, formerly known as the Internet Education Project (IEP), is a means to promote and share peer-reviewed instructional materials created by librarians to teach people about discovering, accessing and evaluating information in networked environments. The Committee hopes that publicizing selective, high quality resources will help librarians to respond to the educational challenges posed by still emerging digital technologies.
